Although Ally and I are both preparing for Diabetes camp, she is preparing in a much different way than I am...
I leave for diabetes camp in 5 days so I'd better start packing.
I think I’ll need some riding boots for riding horses, and some envelopes and stamps to send some letters. I’ll also need paper and pencils to draw with and keep a journal. And a camera to take pictures.
I made a new friend that will be in my cabin. Her name is Cadence. I first saw her at a diabetes comfrince (conference:) and actually met her for ice cream last week. I am so excited to see her again at camp!
Priceless!!! I hope it is all she is wishing for and more
ReplyDeleteWooHoo for CAMP!! I can say that with all the confidence of a mom who has her Bean home from camp!! ;) I'm sure Ally will have a fabulous time and how exciting that she already has a friend that will be there!
ReplyDeleteOne thing that you can't forget to pack (speaking from experience here!)...trash bag for dirty/wet clothes!! Not fun to unpack clothes that weren't worn that should have been clean but were damp and smelly!! :)
What a big step for her and you! Can't wait to hear how it goes....hang in there!
ReplyDeleteDEEP BREATH MAMA!!!! She's gonna LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope she has sooo much fun! I couldn't do it, so you made it farther than me! : ) You'll be fine ; )
ReplyDeleteMisty- I can not tell you how great it is for me to read your blogs about camp. Diabetes camp is a huge part of my life and inspiration. I can begin to tell you how great it makes me feel that you took my advice when we talked months back.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear all about her camp experience!!
XOXO
Haley
Oh boy!!! I love this! I hope Ally guest posts when she gets back to tell us all about it!
