A Day of Hope

Hope Day 2011
Today is a Day of Hope
We joined others all around the world in writing one word on our hands...HOPE

We all have the same hope...
Hope for a Cure for Type 1 Diabetes!

We have hope every day.  But today we wanted others to feel our hope.

I love that the first thing Ally did when she got to her bus stop was to show her friends her hand.
I love that when I picked Jessi up from school she was talking a million miles a minute, explaining to the teacher in the carpool line that she was hoping for a cure for her sister's diabetes.

We will continue to have hope...every day...until there is a cure!

  1. Am I a loser b/c I forgot to do this? I was just commenting on Hallie's blog that this is such a simple and easy way to raise awareness. Love that the girls were so into it!

  3. I am with Reyna - I actually forgot to do it too. Sugar Boy wasn't up when I left the house yesterday morning and we didnt get home from Grandma and Grandpas until late last night. But I think maybe we will do it tonight. :)

I love the way the girl's hands looked!!! So bright and colorful! So HAPPY!

  4. I love how they showed off their hands. They didn't know it, but they were raising awareness!

I also like how "girly" and cute their hope designs were. :) I had to go basic or Jack would not do it.

There's something about your photo - the way their thumbs are touching, I think - that makes it seem all the more powerful than if you just had them holding up their hands together. It's as if your photo shows them uniting for hope or connected by hope or sharing the same the hope. Great pic!

  5. Love the way you did the girls hands! And I agree with Heidi about the way their thumbs touching sort of adds a more powerful touch!

    Very sweet!
