He is seriously amazing in his level of pain tolerance. We too use MM and are looking forward to their "newer" improved model...despite our new insurance not covering the CGM we will still be using it. And our CDE said to keep it in as long as it's accurate - we made it 10 days with one sensor and had beautiful numbers until Isaac went swimming then bam it was reading 300 when really he was in the 90's or 400 when he was in the 100's...but I thought 10 days was pretty good :)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03210820513382353417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927510118010003093.post-39823242193592080582011-03-29T17:28:29.498-04:002011-03-29T17:28:29.498-04:00My hubby used the revel also, 6 days on a sensor. ...My hubby used the revel also, 6 days on a sensor. We love it to for the trends as he has hypo unawareness. Yes the beeps get annoying but we much rather have that then the alternative. We LOVE the revel and CGM :) I agree those sensor needles are way to big. They hurt him and he is a big guy! Poor little ones!Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07361096702591999799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927510118010003093.post-30646561382024803932011-03-29T15:53:27.784-04:002011-03-29T15:53:27.784-04:00That does sound wonderful! It starts losing the sensor a LOT by then and the readings get wackier. When I did my first injection, I was a little intimidated by seeing the needle go in! Now that I know it isn't going to hurt, I'm getting comfortable with seeing that needle about to pierce my skin.Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17032040751678678327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927510118010003093.post-69649321945343276372011-03-29T13:51:29.267-04:002011-03-29T13:51:29.267-04:00It will be so nice when Medtronic's newer sens...It will be so nice when Medtronic's newer sensor hits the market. We tried the current version and it wasn't pretty. I love to keep up with what the other companies are doing with new technology and how then are improving. Keeping up will make it easier to decide on which pump/cgm to go with in 2 years when insurance will let us upgrade!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06274178714212627397noreply@blogger.com
